Grace Awakening seeks to meld Greek mythology with modern life. Each chapter begins with a quatrain in dactylic hexameter that provides a mythological interpretation of the events of the chapter. I hope it does justice to the great history I’m referencing! I invite you to take a look at http://www.shawnbird.com/grace
Thanks, We’ll definitely check it out.
Thanks for your contribution and hope you visit Eye of Zeus often. Love to hear your thoughts.
Nick, you’re missing Hestia, goddess of the hearth and home and Hepheastus, god of forge on the t-shirts. symbols could be a flame and a hammer.
Thanks for your ideas, Sam.
You are right – all the gods should be represented.
And thanks for your design suggestions. Down the road a bit we will be having a tee shirt design contest you might be interested in. It sounds like you really know your stuff. We’ll keep you posted.
Have fun with Ancient Greece and Mythology !
finally got to check this out. Your essay on Hippocrates used the caduceus as the symbol of medicine. It was actually the wand of Hermes, and the symbol should appropriately be the staff of Aesclepius.
I was interested in how this happened and wrote a new post in response. Thanks
I really enjoyed reading through the blogs here and will look forward to reading more.
